Accommodation in Cuba online (in Airbnb) with a discount! :)

Great news! Quite often you ask us about accommodation in Cuba. You can already book them online, all over Cuba, using Airbnb. Since there are plenty of offers, we recommend to you exactly where we have been. Because it’s worth it! :)

When we traveled to Cuba, there was no way to book accommodation online. You could find individual sites, usually individual or referrals on forums like. TripAdvisor. Accommodation could only be booked via e-mail.

We just booked our first night’s stay this way, it was needed for the visa, by the way. Another we took by recommendation (and we got there without navigation! ;-)). Every accommodation was great, nice and helpful hosts themselves, good food.

Some time ago, as a result of warming Cuba-U.S. relations, the first accommodations appeared on Airbnb and Booking.com, Unfortunately, it was not possible to book these places from Poland. Today, however, we take another look and…. it turns out that for almost a year now you can book Airbnb accommodations from Poland as well!

That’s why we’re quickly uploading this summary to make it easier for you to choose a place to sleep :) We recommend, of course, the places where we slept. There are plenty of offers, by the way, very similar at first glance, so we hope this will make the process of choosing a place to sleep easier for you. Of course, we are not saying that other places are bad and you will not find anything better. We simply recommend the ones that we have tested, but in general Cubans are very positive towards tourists…. yet ;)

Airbnb discount

Accommodation with Airbnb in Havana

Here we have two options, because in Havana we slept in two places.

First, a very nice, pleasant place run by a married couple. Unfortunately, they are not on Airbnb (yet ;-)), but they have a well-developed website of their own. For Cuban conditions, of course. You can find all of their contact information here: www.havanarentrooms.com

The second option is already available on Airbnb. This is the room of a young Cuban man who lives with his girlfriend. They are musicians, which was completely irrelevant to us, except for the fact that they have a completely different perspective on Cuba. More modern.

The apartment itself, on the other hand, is great mainly for one reason: suuuuper views :)

Overnight in Trinidad

This is the place we recommend to you the most. This is where we definitely felt most comfortable, as we wrote about in our Trinidadreport. Very friendly family, breakfasts are served on the sunny terrace.

Accommodation in Playa Larga

Here we had the hardest time finding our way, but our hosts were expecting us also we were able to quickly find a particular house. This is a married couple with whom, in contrast to the above accommodations, it was difficult to communicate in English. We were able to agree on everything by flashing or with the help of our neighbors :)

The host was also very helpful when, completely without being asked, he helped us with a tire change when we drove into a crab ;)

The accommodation itself is literally a few meters from the beach (it is in the second line of houses from the beach) and a few steps from the fresh fruit stall (practically straight from the tree).

Overnight stay in Viñales

We came to this accommodation already a little more by accident. Nonetheless, the hosts were baaarious, serving delicious Mohito and Cuba Libre and serving very delicious dinners. A typical modest Cuban house, what more could you want :)

What if there are no more seats?

The hospitality of the Cuban people is very high, so if you write them a private message, they will be sure to refer you to a friend of theirs in the area, with whom you can also stay overnight. Usually you can trust such recommendations, we have never come out badly on them, however, as always keep your eyes in the back of your head :)

In any case, do not stress, have a successful trip to Cuba. And if you haven’t planned it yet, but still made it all the way here, be sure to drive there as soon as possible! :)
