Here you can see our author’s ranking of the most interesting travel blogs to watch in 2023, from Poland, but not just about Poland! These are blogs that we read, that we follow, and that we can safely recommend to you as a collection of interesting and practical information and inspiration before your next trips.
<update 2023> Time for another update! A lot has changed in the Polish blogosphere over the past two years, many new interesting creators have appeared, and many have either changed channels, industry or abandoned blogging.
To begin with, a few words of explanation. A few years ago, we published the first list of inspiring, interesting and growing travel blogs that we think are worth watching. This was a VERY subjective ranking, as the numbers don’t really matter here.
The list included leading travel blogs as well as smaller ones with an idea, something new. Blogs with large reach, great content, as well as those that have been creating for a short time (that is, for at least a year ;) ). The entry was met with a large, positive response and we got a lot of links from you to blogs that you think are worth including in such a list. Unfortunately, if we were to include here ALL the blogs we like and read it would result in some 20,000 words… and that would probably not be read to the end by anyone.
The beginning of the year is a good time to review and update the ranking!
And now another rather important note: we are updating the entry after a long break and we can see how much has changed over two years in the Polish blogosphere. Many new creators have appeared, and some have stopped blogging or significantly changed their business profile. So we decided to introduce a bit of a castling in the list. First of all, we removed blogs whose authors do not publish regularly or focus only on social media. We have to admit that we also publish more often in SM than on the blog, it is faster, simpler and easier, but still, it is a compilation of bloggers, not youtubers or influencers.
And yes, it may surprise you, but we still believe in the power of content published outside of social media :) Consistent and regular creation of posts, providing a good dose of advice and practical information, on top of that interesting photo and video content, make it possible for readers to really learn a lot about new places and better plan trips.
What guided us in selecting blogs for the 2023 ranking?
- This is supposed to be a blog! Not a channel on YT, not just an account on IG. In this post we promote and show only BLOGS.
- Only blogs whose majority of content is about travel. We’ve already written about this in a previous post, but I’ll reiterate: a parenting blog that will go away with the kids twice a year is not a travel blog.
- We highly value regularity and consistency. If someone writes 5 times in one month and then 6 months of silence, then unfortunately… :(
- We do not evaluate the reach and number of blog impressions (please, do not write that there is someone who has less on FB/IG and your blog that has more is not in the list).
- The more original the content the better :)
- We do not take into account other circular activity unrelated to travel. Publishing an ebook, organizing tours – yes, culinary books, clothes – no.
- We appreciate the heart put into creating content. We don’t judge the quality of the photos, but we do appreciate what someone wants to convey, what idea they have and how much work they put into preparing substantive and useful content.
- The number of comments under the posts does not matter to us…. we know that there are still support groups, artificial acquisition of views, likes and comments (especially on FB and IG). Some of the creators listed here may be using this, but we still believe that the content they create is valuable enough to be worth mentioning here.
Of course, as before, we stipulate that this is a total subjective compilation based solely on our own observations. We do not know all the existing travel blogs, and in the Polish blogosphere alone there are now several thousand of them – well, there is no option to read and observe each one by one ;)
By far the best objective list of Polish travel blogs was prepared by Wojtek from Crolove.pl, who collected all active blogs in 2020 on his blog. His compilation is objective, as it is based on figures from various systems that monitor the visibility of blogs on the Internet. So, if you are looking for a reliable and objective ranking of travel blogs based on figures, we invite you here (this is a ranking from two years ago, we hope to have a new edition this year).
But back to our list… below is our list of recommended travel blogs for you to read and follow in 2023. Of course, take into account that usually these are blogs and bloggers who have a different style of travel than we do and do not necessarily travel with children :) We are not people who travel extremely economically or exclusively, but that doesn’t mean we don’t read such blogs. On the contrary! We like to read about adventures while hitchhiking or get a sneak peek at what the most exclusive hotels look like. Just because we don’t have a trip to central Africa on our minds for the time being doesn’t mean we won’t enjoy reading reports from the region. If we kept reading blogs about the same trips as ours, in the same style, it would be boring, wouldn’t it? ;)
Why exactly TOP 21? We follow a lot of blogs, many we read and watch with bated breath, but we wanted to show you a few dozen that we think are exceptionally inspiring, create good content, and show completely different dimensions of travel. Admittedly, we don’t follow everyone on social media, but we know that when we hit any of the following blogs, it will always be a top quality post. Forgive us if we are not up to date with something too ;) While preparing this ranking we were firing off mainly web pages, not social media so we might have missed something.
This is not a ranking intended to indicate the best sites in the Polish travel blogosphere, and we would not like it to be perceived that way :) We are writing it for inspiration and encourage you to keep an eye on individual creators!
Table of contents
TOP 21 best polish travel blogs
So here we go! Below you will find the TOP 21 travel blogs for 2023. Random order!
1. Tasteaway
This is one of the most popular and oldest travel blogs in Poland :) On Natalia and Lukasz’s blog you will find a huge collection of inspiration not only when it comes to the directions of foreign travel or magical places for weekend trips in Poland, but also when it comes to exploring flavors from every corner of the world. We make no secret of the fact that we often check out restaurants and places just from them and have never yet been disappointed.
We love for the parental looseness and lack of tense in travel, they show travel with a child as it is, without unnecessary coloring.
Besides, it was their blog and their travels that gave us courage on our first trips with Olive. We’ve read about the first trips with Maks, and now we’re following the travels with two on board.
It is worth mentioning that the authors of the blog have also published several travel ebooks and a book on traveling with children.
2. Robimy podróże
We met Goha and Kamil in person, and we’ll frankly admit that they opened our eyes to wheelchair travel.
We ourselves travel with a baby stroller and often see how many obstacles can be encountered on the road… We, however, can at any time leave the stroller somewhere, pack the baby in a carrier and move on. However, people with disabilities do not have such opportunities. So, since we’ve been watching Doing Travel, it’s very common to pay attention to the accessibility of various places and attractions for people with disabilities.
Fortunately, Goha and Kamil are tough competitors :) We admire them for their travels, good material, they create posts, videos, and even created a portal for people looking for adapted attractions(Poland in a Wheelchair).
Add to this that Kamil became the Internet Personality in the competition “Man without Barriers” and received the award at the palace of the President of Poland :)
3. Wędrowne Motyle
One of the most professional and substantively strong blogs in the Polish blogosphere. For years, Ania and Marcin have kept a very high level, creating great quality posts and videos. In the reports, they show places off the beaten track, show how to travel better, and have even published a book about it (they have more books to their credit!).
Their blog is not only reports and practical information, but also inspiring photos and, above all, a huge dose of knowledge in the fields of history, geography, art, all served in an aesthetic and attractive way. They show gems, they go into details that others miss, and on top of all this they are natural, as if they were made for what they do.
4. Na Atlantydę
We no longer remember how we ended up on Hania’s blog, but probably through Instagram… We ended up and stayed for a long time, because the author covers topics that should be relevant for travelers.
For Atlantis is not another travel blog. This is a blog about AWARE travel. We won’t write about our approach to conscious travel here, because it’s not the time or place, but we recommend you take a look at this blog because it opens your eyes, shows you the uncomfortable truth and will make you change your perception a bit :)
And it’s by no means about reducing plastic, being more eco, but about showing how our choices shape tourism, how they affect local communities and the environment.
5. Szalone walizki
Crazy Suitcases definitely stays in the mix, as it’s one of the few blogs showing 40+ travel. A different perspective, but by no means lacking in spontaneity, hunting for cheap tickets, active recreation. Well we want to travel like this when our kids are grown and we return to traveling just the two of us!
Dorota and Jarek from Crazy Suitcases have already traveled quite a bit of the world, which they willingly share on their blog and YT channel. There you will find interesting accounts of their travels with the addition of beautiful photos and various interesting practical tips.
They travel in two, on their own, and add tidbits to their reports, such as diving – they convinced us to jump into the water in sub-zero temperatures, so be afraid :)
6. 101 Countries Before 50
As in the title, the authors of the blog, i.e. Anita and Paweł, have given themselves the goal of visiting 101 countries before they turn 50, and admittedly we are already lost as to how many places they have seen, but they will surely succeed ;)
Their travels are not just about ticking off more countries, but also learning about cultures, history, interesting facts, all of which, along with a heavy dose of practical information and beautiful photos, can be found on their blog and social media channels.
They also show Poland beautifully, and let the fact that they won the 2nd edition of the Tourist Blogger Championship be proof of that.
Anita and Paweł also run a boutique travel agency and organize group trips.
7. Zbieraj się
Get together with Magda and Jack and hit the road! We were immediately captivated by the name of the blog derived from the names of the blog’s authors, and when it comes to walking with kids in the mountains, this is the blog we hit on first. This is probably due in part to the fact that we have children of the same age, but more to the fact that you will always find reliable and comprehensive information here. Attractions and routes are always described in detail and accurately, plus there are many photos.
What we especially appreciate this blog for is that even with sponsored content, there is no shortage of honest opinions, not just mere praise (which is so rare!).
And the only thing that puzzles us is how they manage to travel so much! ;) Watching the accounts on IG/FB, you would think, they are constantly going somewhere, and every weekend is at least some day trip to the mountains.
8. My na szlaku
If you search for any specific places in Poland on Google, there is a very good chance that you will come across Angelika and Mateusz’s blog. We hit every now and then, and we are looking for really different kinds of routes and attractions ;)
And we must admit that we have never been disappointed with the posted information and travel reports. Lots of useful and practical advice and baaaaa lot of content (we still wonder how they manage to publish so many posts?!). The authors of We on the Trail focus on mountains and sites in Poland, although there is also room for accounts from other European countries.
They travel with little Maja and show that you can go almost any trail with a baby ;)
9. Ahoj Przygodo!
Agnieszka and Mariusz are very positively twisted people, brimming with energy. We don’t know each other personally (yet!), but watching their accounts of their trips and daily life, it makes you want to know the recipe for this optimism and strength to act.
But that’s not what they are in this list for ;) The authors of the Ahoj Przygodao blog create interesting content, show places for families with children, and have published Passports of the Young Explorer from several regions of Poland, which, by the way, you can buy in our store.
Encouraging whole families to hit the road, they show mainly Lower Silesia, but there is also plenty of content from other parts of Poland. We cheer them on a lot, because they have breathed a lot of freshness into the travel blogosphere.
10. Hasające Zające
Definitely, this list is dominated by blogs writing mainly about Poland, and although Hasające Hares has covered many countries around the world, we mainly associate them with the Polish mountains ;)
It is now one of the most visited Polish travel blogs! It is probably even in first place, as it recorded more than 8 million page views in 2022, which is a truly impressive number! Congratulations!
And we are not at all surprised by the popularity of the blog, which is created by Justyna and Krystian. We have come across their posts many times and have been inspired by their travels. The content created is clear, full of practical information and advice. There’s also a Little Hare on board, so traveling with a baby isn’t scary for them.
11. Lukasz Kedzierski
Luke’s blog has been around for as long as we can remember :) And it’s not whether ours or Lukasz’s was the first, it’s just that ever since we’ve been looking for information, especially about further directions, we go to lkedzierski.com and always find a ton of useful information there!
Although many creators who have been blogging for, say, about 10 years are slowly focusing on other channels (e.g., YouTube), Luke has been consistently blogging by providing very high quality content, which we greatly appreciate.
Add the fact that we take fantastic photos and because she travels with her daughter Nadia, who is quite a bit older than our Olivia, she strongly motivates and shows that the passion for travel stays with children for a long time.
12. W poszukiwaniu
Ewelina not only visited many countries, but lived quite a long time in several of them, and was looking for her place on earth. He now lives in Poland and shows beautiful corners, but not only in our country.
It’s a pleasure to read and look at posts that provide lots of practical advice, interesting descriptions of places and inspiration for travel. Especially since we can find various undiscovered gems on Ewelina’s blog.
13. Wszędobylscy
Ania and Adrian’s blog is a travel blog that has been in the Polish blogosphere for a long time (since 2014, to be exact). We can’t count how many times we’ve come across this blog looking for various inspirations ;)
On the blog you will find a great number of articles describing both attractions in Poland, interesting places to stay, ideas for trips, as well as extensive accounts of foreign trips. Everywhere is a traveling family, so there’s plenty of inspiration for traveling with a child here, too.
14 Bartek w podróży
Bartek’s blog is not only a mass of interesting and useful articles, but also a very neat and readable layout, which makes it simply enjoyable to read the posts on this site.
Almost every article is accompanied by additional practical information (e.g. accommodations, restaurants, how to get there), which will help comprehensively plan a trip in the chosen direction.
15. Tym razem
Every month means at least a few new articles on the blog! Jakub writes about travel not only about Poland although this is the content we came across most often on tymrazem.pl last year
They were always articles that exhausted the topic, providing everything we needed at the time. Very enjoyable to read and with nice photos – that’s how entries should be written.
16. Voyagerka
Admittedly, we know Gosia mainly from her activities on IG (although we also know each other in person!) and it is from this channel that we most often access the blog.
In addition to the posts about places and attractions, we really liked the series about Travel Medicine, because Gosia is a pharmacist and educates about it as well, which we think is baaaally needed! Fingers crossed for the return and growth of this section on the blog :)
17. Ruszaj w drogę
Kasia and Maciej encourage you to hit the road and explore Poland! Anyway, they do it not only by blogging, but by publishing guides, giving lectures, presentations and meetings, recording podcasts…. :)
On the blog you will find plenty of posts about well-known and lesser-known attractions and places in the country. They show both regions and individual attractions, describe stories, point out interesting facts, visit and talk to guides and inspiring people.
18. Osmol.pl
At this point we beat our breasts, but we do not know by what miracle we discovered this blog only this year…. No, actually we know exactly on what occasion and what we were looking for we ended up at Osmol.co.uk and that’s when we started wondering why we were here the first time when there were so many interesting articles here!
The first thing that attracts attention is the lightness with which Paul’s articles are written. He is able to tell about interesting places in a very interesting and engaging way, at times you can even feel as if you were there (probably a big part of this is also the beautiful photos).
So don’t make the mistake we did, look here more often.
19. Wojażer
Marcin Wesolowski’s blog is another blog that has been thriving for as long as we can remember. Very substantive posts, enriched with the author’s perspective and interesting thoughts that give a different perspective on the places visited.
Add to this that Marcin takes great photos, making the posts even more pleasing to the eye (we already liked the aesthetics and look of the blog).
20. W 10 inspiracji dookoła świata
This blog has been recommended several times by you in the comments in previous editions of the ranking, and we think it definitely deserves to be in this ranking!
First of all, you can immediately see the very strong commitment and heart that Magda puts into the blog – you will find a lot of decent posts with practical advice (and let’s remember that it’s not the quantity of posts in blogging that matters, but the quality!) along with eye-catching photos.
We keep our fingers crossed for further development!
21. Wolnym Krokiem
Agnes and Krystian travel slowly with their two boys, Charek and Leos. They are not afraid of mountain trails or cities, they write a lot about Poland, especially about Lower Silesia. The trails are described in great detail, in the entries you will find maps of the routes and a lot of practical advice.
And although we associate the blog Wolnym Krokiem mainly with the mountains and Lower Silesia, it is worth looking here also for descriptions of foreign trips.
This is not the end of the ranking!
We could list dozens more blogs that we follow and recommend, but we wanted to close with a short TOP 21, and even this is not our last word :)
Now it’s time for you! Comments are at your disposal! Share what travel blogs you read and are worth recommending! :)
