The country of cherry blossoms, samurai, geisha, sushi and numerous earthquakes. Such were once our first associations with Japan. You’ll read about the journey that changed this soon, and for now a brief preview….
Intro, or how our low-cost trip to and around Japan began….
At the beginning of 2013, there was a lot of buzz about two airlines that started regular flights from Warsaw: Fly Emirates and Quatar Airlines. The airline made sure to enter with great momentum and threw in plenty of low-cost connections even to the ends of the earth. Newspapers outdid themselves in criticizing people who bought these tickets: buy a cheap ticket to the Maldives, Seychelles and spend 5 times as much on hotels, food, etc. I for one believe that such opportunities should be taken advantage of, but wisely :-) and as much as I also dream of a vacation in the Maldives, I realize that there, first of all, an organized tour is involved.
So, we decided to take advantage and after a long hesitation between China and Japan, we bet on the latter (no, we didn’t flip a coin ;)). We chose Emirates airlines and additionally managed to make a stopover of several days in Dubai on the way back.
In fact, it was the first trip for both of us so far away, to a country with a culture so different from ours, the European one. In the next few days here will appear a day by day account of this unforgettable trip, which, admittedly, already took place a year ago, but perhaps you will find some interesting descriptions useful for planning your own vacation :) Especially since, as always, we try to make our trip low-cost. Well, the truth is that from time to time we allow ourselves a little luxury ;)
What do we think low cost means? This means that for the entire trip we spent less for two people than it would have cost for one person traveling with a travel agency. And the fact that we saw much more is another matter ;)
