Without a doubt – Energylandia is the best amusement park in Poland and can boldly compete with similar places of this type in Europe. If you’re in the mood for a good dose of adrenaline, this is where you’ll find it. For those who prefer milder attractions, there will also be something :)
Energylandia! And we’re surprised ourselves that we’ve been there some time ago and haven’t found a moment to create a post about this amusement park until now. Things have changed a bit since our visit, but we did a very detailed research and all the information below is up to date at the time of publishing this post.
Energylandia is the largest and most popular theme amusement park in Poland; in 2021 alone, it welcomed as many as 1,860,000 visitors and was a record year [source]. We won’t be completely surprised if in 2022 the number of visitors will be even higher, as the park is growing all the time and there are not only new rollercoasters, but also whole new zones full of attractions for young and old.
Where is Energylandia located? In southern Poland, between Katowice and Krakow, in Zator. So, if you are planning a vacation in the capital of Malopolska, or going to the Tatra Mountains, why not opt for a one- or two-day stay at Energylandia? The following post will help you plan an adventurous visit.

Attractions at Energylandia
Before we show you some of the attractions at Energylandia, it’s worth looking at a map of the park:
Energylandia’s official map for 2022!
A real head-turner, right? Yes, the number of attractions is very large and the question immediately arises how to see it all in one day? Just going through everything will take a lot of time, and after all, you have to add time standing in lines, some breaks for food, restroom, etc. :) We write about how best to plan the day below in the practical information, and for now let’s focus on the attractions in Energylandia.
There are several thematic zones in the park, with more than 100 attractions to count! These range from extreme rollercoaster rides to slow toddler carousels, so rest assured, this is not 100 chilling rides. This is worth noting, because in addition to the famous Hyperion or the wooden Zadra, there are many calmer and family rides even for those adults who do not like extreme thrills. There are also playgrounds for the little ones, a water zone, calm boats, etc.
Of particular note are the newest zones:
- Water Park – opened in 2016, expanded in 2018 and 2019 to include a water play zone and water playground. Remember to bring your swimsuits with you to Energylandia!
- Dragon ‘s Castle – themed zone with castles and dragons launched in 2019
- Aqualantis – fresh from 2021,
- Sweet Valley – a novelty, scheduled to open in 2022, full of sweetness and pastels,
- Aquapark – more water attractions planned.
Extreme experiences for adults
We don’t know about you, but we LOVE rollercoasters! Before we got to Energylandia we had been to several other amusement parks (mostly in the UK and Orlando, Florida), or in
Disneyland
ach (
Shanghai Disneyland Park
China and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida) and
Legoland
zie …and we were a bit in disbelief that it would be possible to prepare such a real park in Poland.
But what disbelievers we were ;) If you have been to Alton Tower or Thorpe Park, believe us that Energylandia does not deviate from them at all. Ba! We can confidently say that it is one of the best amusement parks we have been to and Poland has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of! If you’re looking for a truly extreme experience, you’ll have all too many here.
Beginning with the Hyperion that greets us from the entrance, the so-called ” Hyperion“. hyper coaster, which is the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Europe (it reaches speeds of over 140km/h, and special goggles are worn during the ride), through the full Mayan loop, up to Zadra – the world’s tallest wooden roller coaster!
And these are just 3 examples of roller coasters. In the extreme zone, the following await visitors: A 40-meter drop tower, a rotating frame reaching speeds of 100 km/h, a water roller coaster, a high-speed roller coaster kept in the style of Formula 1 or a rotating roller coaster.
More adrenaline-filled rides await in other zones: the aforementioned Zadra is located in the Dragon’s Lair zone, where there is also a gentler Frida. In the Aqualantis zone there is Abyssus, the Tidal Wave Twister carousel moving along the track, and the YouTube Crew’s signature Light Explorers.
It doesn’t stop there. Two more queues in the Sweet Valley area are due to be put into service this year – although it must be said that more than extreme, they will be family-oriented.
The above queues are accessible to people at least 140 cm tall, although some are even for children from 120 cm, but entry is only possible with a guardian.
Keep in mind, however, that adults who are not fond of a high dose of adrenaline will also find something to enjoy. There are many softer and slower coasters, carousels, self-propelled cars, slides, there is a scare house, a water zone…. You will be satisfied and deliver :)
For slightly older children
For older children, that is, for whom? According to us, such a group of children who will benefit most from a stay in Energylandia are those who are at least 120 cm tall (those who are 140 cm are already a fairy tale in general, because they can use practically everything).
Children >120 cm on many attractions can already jump on by themselves, and on many ride with caregivers.
At their disposal are merry-go-rounds, smaller roller coasters, cars, boats, slides. Almost all attractions from the Fairyland and Family zones are open to them (with minor exceptions).
Even in Dragon’s Lair or Aqualantis there are rides that older children can enjoy on their own (such as the Light Explorers or Frida crew).
For preschoolers and toddlers
However, the biggest dilemma probably concerns toddlers :) While parents would probably love to go out on extreme roller coasters, is there any point in taking toddlers to Energylandia?
Among the park’s attractions are some that even toddlers can ride. There are slow rides, quietly gliding trains, peaceful merry-go-rounds – yes, such attractions can be found here as well. At Fairyland, young children can ride tractors or jeeps on a safari, get on a horse on a merry-go-round – all under the watchful eye of a supervisor, of course. Such attractions are few, but they are there.
Of course, let’s not kid ourselves, a 6-month-old toddler won’t have any outstanding fun out of it, but it’s good that there are such attractions, because with two children on board, you can take them peacefully together on one of these quieter attractions.
The case is different for 2-year-olds, because here we already have a wider range of options. A two-year-old can put out a fire as a firefighter, hop in an airplane, ride in a car or jump into a sky ship.
If you are considering whether to take your infant to Energylandia, keep in mind that it is a very noisy and crowded place. It’s fun, colorful, intense, and it’s not hard to get a toddler through. As parents, you know your children best and whether this will be a good experience for them.
We will only add here that we in Energylandia were with two children. An infant just and a less than 3-year-old Olive. And yes, we also rode a lot of rollercoasters, but we had a lot of fun with these smaller and gentler attractions!
For children those smaller and larger, we also recommend other amusement parks in Poland, more typical for families with children.
We recommend in particular:
– Mandoria
– Majaland Kownat
– Illusion Farm
– Magic Gardens
– Julinek Amusement Park
– JuraPark Krasiejów
– Clement’s Orchards
Shows and additional attractions at Energylandia
Energylandia is not only roller coasters, carousels and water attractions. As befits a decent amusement park, themed events and performances are also held here.
For example, when Energylandia was open at the end of the year winter parades were held here, Santa Claus was stationed, you could meet elves and bake gingerbread cookies. Plus, the largest garden of lights in Poland was here!
During the season there is no shortage of shows and performances on special stages, there is a 7d cinema, and you can even see stunt shows.
Practical information before coming to Energylandia
How to make your stay in Energylandia full of fantastic memories and not nerves, stress and rush? What to keep in mind before going to Energylandia? Here are some of our tips:
- Avoid weekends – if at all possible do not come to Energylandia on a weekend, much less a holiday weekend. There are the most people then, the queues to the attractions are very long. It is better to come on a Monday, such as September or October (in our opinion, it is worth it even at the expense of water attractions). We were just there on Monday, in May, and it was swell! On the attractions we could ride in circles without even getting off, especially on the ones for children.
- Buy your tickets online – you’ll skip the on-site checkout lines, and your kids won’t be impatient.
- Familiarize yourself with the map of attractions at Energylandia before you visit – see on the Energylandia website what are the attractions that will interest you, on which you can ride at all (different roller coasters have different restrictions, not only age or height restrictions). See what shows are on and at what time. Plan your Energylandia walking route so you know where to go.
- Come to Energylandia first thing in the morning – it’s worth having a whole, whole day for Energylandia. And so it will be too little time :)
- To begin with, go where you care most – if you want to go to Zadra, direct your first steps after entering right there. As a rule, visitors go one at a time and arrive at the end of the park after a few hours – be the first there ;)
- Take advantage of the Energylandia Fast Pass – what is it? As part of the ticket, everyone can reserve one entry for a specific time for Zadra, Hyperion and Mayan, saving you time in lines. This can be done at special vending machines in the park.
Energylandia, where is it?
Energylandia is located in the town of Zator in the Malopolskie Voivodeship, about 50 kilometers west of Krakow (about 1 hour by car). What is the best way to get to Energylandia?
By car
Taking the A4 highway, use the Rudno exit and head south toward Alwernia on road 780, then turn left in Babice and take road 781 to Zator. From the highway exit, the route is about 23 kilometers.
There is a large paid parking lot on site – 10 zl/day.
By bus
Energylandia can be reached by bus from Krakow, Katowice and Auschwitz, and tickets can be purchased here. These connections were in 2021, the year before the network of connections was larger (there were coaches from Wroclaw and Torun, among others), so we encourage you to keep up to date with the information appearing on the website. The price list for 2022 is not known, but in previous years prices started at $29 per round trip.
By rail?
There are also plans to launch a train service (the train goes to Zator), and for the time being you can use the choo-choo that transports guests from Zator and nearby parking lots to the gates of Energylandia.

Energylandia opening hours
Opening hours depend not only on the season, but also on various events, but generalizing:
- Monday – Sunday: 10.00 – 18.00
- Holiday period: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
How much does a ticket to Energylandia cost? Energylandia Price List
Day ticket prices:
- Normal ticket – 149 PLN
- Discounted ticket (up to 140 cm tall) – 99 PLN
- Children under 3 years of age enter for one zloty.
Two-day ticket prices:
- Normal ticket – 269 PLN
Discounted ticket (up to 140 cm tall) – 179 PLN
The National Large Family Card is accepted at Energylandia, giving an additional 5% discount.
In addition, on your birthday you get in for a buck (applies only to those under 18).
Staying in an amusement park to cheap events is not one of them, but in our opinion the price is adequate for the quantity and quality of attractions. Such games, unfortunately, are not cheap, but once in a while you can go crazy! :)
How to use the Fast Pass at Energylandia?
Speaking of tickets, it’s worth mentioning the Fast Pass. What it is. A Fast Pass is the ability to enter an attraction without standing in line. And those in amusement parks are inevitable. Especially on vacations and weekends, not just at the most heavily trafficked attractions.
At some amusement parks you can buy a Fast Pass for an additional fee, sometimes as a single entry to a specific attraction, and sometimes as an unlimited ticket. Although to cheap things such an additional ticket does not belong.
However, it is increasingly common to find that amusement parks are giving Fast Passes to everyone at the ticket price, but with certain restrictions. This is exactly the case at Energylandia. Within the purchased ticket, everyone can reserve one entry for a specific time for Zadra, Hyperion and Mayan. That is, you have a total of three free entries without a queue. This saves you time in lines, with the assurance that you will ride the biggest attractions in the park.
How do you get such a Fast Pass at Energylandia? This can be done at special vending machines in the park. You scan your ticket, select an available time slot, and receive a barcode that you use to enter the attraction without a queue. The barcode is effective 10 minutes before and 10 minutes after the designated time.
Gastronomy, or what can you eat in Energdyland?
Food or snacks on site should be added to the ticket prices. There are more than 50 (!) points to choose from where you can dine in between attractions. Of course, we don’t recommend eating right before you get on the rollercoasters ;)
There are fast food, ice cream, coffee as well as restaurants with cuisines from different regions of the world. They are interestingly arranged and incorporated into the theme of the zone in which they are located (there is, for example, Moya Formula Pizza, Tavern or Galaxy Kebab).
You will not go hungry… If you can only find the time to do so ;-)
Accommodation in the vicinity of Energylandia
There are plenty of lodging options in the immediate area, and admittedly, we don’t know what the occupancy is like in the highest season, but looking at the number of available places, you shouldn’t have problems finding free beds.
Western Camp
We, for our part, can recommend to you the Western Camp facility located about a kilometer from Energylandia. Western Camp is a cowboy town styled facility with rooms, cabins, tents and even wagons for rent. There’s a playground, deck chairs, a small lake, and various seasonal attractions like an open-air cinema. The rooms follow the theme of the wild west and are clean and well equipped. Importantly, there are rooms that can accommodate up to 6 adults, which will work well for both larger families and groups of friends, and at the same time lower the price a bit.
Prices start at £400 for a cottage for 4 people, and tent and wagon rentals cost from £300.
Campground and camper at Energylandia
If you’re looking for budget options, there’s a campground by the Energylandia itself, where prices start at $10 per person! There are no luxuries here, but at the end of the day it’s not glamping just cheap accommodation overlooking the roller coasters ;)
RV parking is also available for £60 with access to water, electricity and toilets (also right next to the theme park).

Our opinion about Energylandia
You can say that Energylandia is expensive, noisy, there are a lot of people and there are queues to the attractions …and that’s all true, but that’s what amusement parks are all about ;)
In our opinion, it is an amusement park of a really high level, full of attractions for both the smaller ones and adults. Both for those who like extreme rides and for those who like a little gentler attractions. This high price guarantees you a day full of excitement from morning until dusk.
We recommend only coming during the week, outside of the holiday season, long weekends or any special events. Then you have a better chance that there will be no crowds and you will be free to enjoy many attractions repeatedly :)
We ourselves regret that we do not live a little closer…. ;-)
