Mr. Kleks’ Fairy Tale is a unique place on the map of attractions for children in Katowice. There is space for fun, education, exploring the world and solving puzzles. Come and see for yourself, welcome to the world of Mr. Blob!
We first read about Mr. Blossom’s Fable during the pandemic. It’s not surprising that we didn’t come across this lead before. The place is relatively new on the map of Katowice: it opened in December 2019, so at a rather unfortunate time…. Nonetheless, we managed to get here on a certain winter weekend, just in time when such attractions might have been open.
This introduction is quite important, as strictures affect the availability of such sites and the various restrictions involved. In times of pandemonium, Mr. Blossom’s Fairy Tale is only visited with a guide, which in our opinion is a big plus and had a positive effect on the overall reception, even though we were initially worried whether the two-year-old would be able to go with the group.

What is the Fairy Tale of Mr. Kleks?
As we can learn on the official website, Mr. Kleks’ Fairy Tale is an adventure based on Jan Brzechwa’s famous trilogy and the first place in Poland to combine Culture, Science and Fun. We find it hard to describe in one sentence what this place is. On the one hand, it is a learning and play center, where children have various tasks to complete and must find missing objects, and on the other hand, it is a full-color play and experience room.
And it is thanks to the guides who lead the group that the children focus on the former aspect, not just on slides, puzzles and games. The guides follow through all the stations, weave stories and engage even the youngest participants.
A tour of Mr. Kleks’ Fairy Tale
The adventure in Mr. Blossom’s Fairy Tale begins in a brilliantly arranged lobby, named the Last Nature Reserve. It is here that children wait until the whole group has gathered, while they can swing on hanging chairs and look out for various animals through binoculars. The guides are characters from Mr. Blossom’s Fairy Tale, such as. Adaś Niezgódka or Ambroży Kleks. They are the ones who will accompany us on our journey through mysterious lands.
And there are a total of 8 lands to discover (the first is the aforementioned Last Nature Reserve). We begin with the Land of the Matthew Starling, where a mysterious wall of drawers and buttons, a jigsaw puzzle of blocks, a magic door and the opportunity to visualize their dreams await little explorers.
One floor above, children enter the Dog Paradise, where there are toys and board games, but most importantly an obstacle course and a winding slide. We continue into the Kingdom of Baidoa, with a ship, fishing, tying knots, learning about maps. From the ship, it’s only a step away from the little explorers to Abecia – a watery land, with a slide, sea creatures and flashlights to help find the map.
Next up is Planet of Fantasy, which is a bit of space on Earth. The biggest attraction here is the elevators, which you have to pull up yourself. Of course, there is also an educational aspect, so we can learn about the planets of the solar system or practice our reflexes. Finally, we enter the Robot Junkyard, which will teach us a thing or two about ecology.
Yes, this is the end of exploring the lands with interesting posts and tasks, but not the end of fun and learning. If you bought a ticket with a workshop, you’ll still have a visit to the last land – Mr. Kleks’ Kitchen. It is a room with a large table around which the little explorers sit. We ended up at a “chemical” workshop – But no fear! They were creative and interesting enough to interest even the youngest visitors: there was no shortage of fire, smoke, colorful samples and the performance of several experiments by children (under the watchful eye of their parents, of course).
Who is Mr. Blank’s Fairy Tale for?
Mr. Blush’s Fairy Tale is a great place for children who like different tasks, challenges, mysterious characters, magical world, but also like to go crazy :)
To take full advantage of each land, each exhibit we recommend going with a guide. At what age are children suitable for such a trip? Of course, this is a very individual issue, but in our opinion it is best for children to be at least 4-5 years old. The younger ones will also have a lot of fun, but more from playing games than from just participating in the various tasks.
It is important not to think of Mr. Blossom’s Fairy Tale as a place where we leave children in the care of entertainers. Children need to be constantly supervised by their parents, and numerous tasks require precisely the cooperation between child and parent.
How to prepare for the visit?
The most important thing is to buy a ticket! Tickets can currently only be purchased online by selecting a specific time and workshop (optional). Unfortunately, for the duration of the closure of such attractions, only a voucher for use at a later date is available.
The tickets do not need to be printed, just show them to the employees on the phone screen.
What to bring with you? Necessarily change socks, preferably with non-slip. After Fairyland walks without shoes, in socks, alternatively, you can foil your shoes. If you happen to forget socks to change into, pretty cool ones are available for purchase locally.
It takes about 2 hours to visit Mr. Blossom’s Fairy Tale. You can’t eat while traveling through the lands, so it’s a good idea to fill your bellies before entering Fairyland.
The entire section with attractions for children is located on the first floor, the entrance is quite steep and lacks an elevator. Strollers are left by the locker room on the first floor.
