There are places in Poland where you go “for a while” and leave in the evening with the feeling that one day is not enough! This is exactly what happened during our previous visit to Baltow. This time we didn’t make the same mistake and stayed here for longer. We were in the Baltow Tourist Complex from Friday to Monday, stayed overnight on site, used all the attractions without limitation and now we can finally admit: we managed to use almost everything!
So, in today’s post, we will show you the entire Baltow Tourist Complex, all its parts and attractions so that you can plan your visit there accordingly.
First of all, the Bałtów Tourist Complex is not just JuraPark Bałtów (although that’s where it all started). It’s a vast area on the banks of the Kamienna River, with several themed zones: a path with dinosaur models, an animal sanctuary (upper and lower), a Sabbatarium, an amusement park, a Slavic Hill, a miniature park, a 5D cinema, seasonal water attractions and winter… A lot of it, right? ;)
The complex is really extensive. A lot of greenery, sensible traffic organization, clear signage and – important for us – a variety of thematic attractions: from geology and dinosaurs, to ancient beliefs and animals, to local folklore and fun. The place is made so that everyone can find something for themselves here, regardless of age or interests.

A brief history and concept of the site
Bałtów is one of the pioneers of “dinosaur” fashion in Poland. It started with paleontological discoveries in the region of the Swietokrzyskie Mountains and the idea to show this story not in showcases, but…. in the field. Today, JuraPark in Bałtów is the main axis of the narrative – an educational path that takes us through successive periods of Earth’s history, amidst natural greenery and 1:1 scale reptile reconstructions.
Over time, the other zones were expanded around the educational core: the Animal House (with a “safari” ride and a mini-zoo), Sabatowka (a reference to Świętokrzyskie legends), the Amusement Park (merry-go-rounds, queues, equipment for younger and older people), 5D cinema and seasonal attractions: water in summer and… winter (slope, ice rink), when the complex changes decorations like a theme park.
Interestingly, this place is constantly changing and developing. From our previous visit we remembered the Oceanarium, which was replaced by Adventure Planet VR, and literally days before our arrival Jungle Jump opened, but you’ll read about them later in this post.
The concept seems simple: education + entertainment + nature. First of all, you will learn a lot here (a lot of valuable charts and boards here, and during the safari your guide will sell you a lot of interesting facts). Secondly, you will have a lot of fun (carousels, rides, animations, workshops). Third, you will take a deep breath (the area is sizable, with rest and dining areas). For families, this is important, because different ages of children mean different needs, and here it can be reconciled.

Zoning – what, where and how to plan in the Baltow Tourist Complex
This section will help you arrange your ideal stay in Baltow. Below we describe what attractions are in each part of the Complex, what you need to plan and book in advance, and we also mention age or height restrictions, as not everyone will be able to safely use everything.
Ready?
JuraPark Bałtów – the heart of the complex
The educational path through JuraPark is a journey through the history of our planet starting from the first organisms that appeared on earth to the time when man began to walk on it. Along the way we pass reconstructions of many dinosaurs in natural poses in 1:1 scale, with information boards. About 100 of them are waiting here, and of course the biggest and most dangerous ones are the most impressive ;) Realistic models, prepared in cooperation with paleontologists, allow you to feel as if you were in ancient times.
It’s worth stopping by PaleoCamp for a while and checking out the museum. In its halls you can see unique collections of fossils and models of ancient organisms and animals. Importantly, you will also find fossils found in the Baltow area.
The adventure at JuraPark does not end at the nature trail and museum. You can spend more time here by taking advantage of the food outlets and the expanded playground. Among other things, the youngest children can look forward to. Slides, swings, climbing elements, a large sandbox. Of course, as befits a dinosaur park you can try to find dinosaur remains here :)
The playground is located near food outlets. Next to it, near the restrooms, there is a room for a caregiver with a child.
The whole area is easily accessible, you can easily enter here with strollers. Wooden carts can also be rented for a fee at JuraPark.
Adventure Planet VR – Jurassic mission in virtual reality
Adventure Planet is one of the newest and most innovative attractions in the Baltow Tourist Complex – a true journey through time and space. All you have to do is enter the futuristic capsules and put on the goggles, and you are transported to a world where Jurassic adventure is coming. You have to save the dinosaur eggs, move them to a safe place and fight the enemy. Just watch out for other players, as it’s not hard to get bumped during this mission.
Important, the attraction is designed for children from 8. age – with an eye toward safety and allowing full immersion in VR.
From ourselves, we would add that we do not recommend this game to those sensitive to intense sounds and images.
Zwierzyniec – Lower and Upper (including “safari”)
An integral part of the complex is the Bałtów Animal House, divided into two zones – upper and lower. The Lower Animal House is a mini zoo, where children can see smaller species up close and – in designated areas – get up close. It is also possible to feed animals, but only with food purchased from special vending machines.
The Upper Animal House is a larger area of semi-natural enclosures. The most interesting part is the bus ride through the area. A few years ago it was possible to enter by one’s own car, but now entry is only possible by buses belonging to the Bałtów Tourist Complex. But these are no ordinary buses! This is a specially downloaded yellow school bus from the USA! For many, just a ride in such a vehicle will already be an attraction, right? ;)
However, before you board such a bus, you need to remember one thing: you need to reserve a seat for a specific time! To do this, go to the ticket offices across the road from the bus stop.
Safari is a fantastic adventure: we drive between enclosures, looking out for deer, fallow deer, mouflons, camels, bison and other residents. Of course, the guides will help in this spotting, who, while riding with us, will tell many interesting facts and stories related to the inhabitants of Zwierzyniec. The ride is safe, there are no predators in the park, and the biggest “threat” is the ostrich, which eagerly runs right next to the bus (the guides will instruct you when to be extra careful and not to put your hands out of the windows).
Such a ride is a great “springboard” after hiking at JuraPark – it will also be good for parents to sit for a while ;-) After the ride, you can get off at the miniature park or take the chairlift down, which will be another attraction.
Both parts of Zwierzyniec are designed to make the tour both attractive and educational. This makes a visit to the Bałtow animal park an excellent complement to the educational trail at JuraPark, allowing children to see the diversity of modern fauna after meeting their prehistoric ancestors.
Lower Zwierzyniec can be visited with a stroller, and of course you can board the bus without a stroller (there is a designated parking area for strollers at the bus stop). There are no age restrictions when it comes to both attractions, so even toddlers can enjoy them.
Sabbatical – Świętokrzyskie legends in a fun way
Sabatovka is a Village of Witches, but rest assured, nothing bad will befall you inside! First, you will have to go through the Tunnel of Courage, and then animation, acrobatics, dancing and games await you. Doesn’t sound scary, does it? It’s not about scaring, but a friendly immersion into a fairy tale atmosphere.
This is a town where you will learn about ancient legends and beliefs, meet Witch Hogata here and see what an old merchant’s house(Emporium) looked like. Our children enjoyed taking part in challenges, playing games together, learning juggling and riding a monocycle. Fun was had by both the 4-year-old, the 6-year-old and the 9-year-old :)
Slavic Settlement – a journey into the world of the ancient Slavs
Sabatovka, along with the Slavic Settlement, is part of the Slavic Hill. It is a place that combines nature, history and legends into one cohesive story. Wooden silhouettes of legendary rulers, gods and creatures-from Popiel to Piast-are set up along a path that leads from the open-air bee museum, through Sabatowka and the Slavic Settlement to the Miniatures of Poland.
The Slavic settlement is a place where wooden huts – a farmer’s, a blacksmith’s, a fisherman’s, a potter’s, and even an herbalist’s hut – allow you to immerse yourself in the daily life of our ancestors. It is here that you will see ancient tools, everyday objects and craft workshops. And all this surrounded by gardens and flower meadows that look especially fabulous in summer.
There is a cafe in the main building, and here we also met an herbalist who told us the secrets of various ingredients and spices.
Poland in Miniature – a journey through the monuments in 1:25 scale
Miniature Park, known as “Poland in Miniature,” is a unique part of the Bałtów Tourist Complex. The shape of Poland has been mapped on an area of about a hectare, along with major rivers, lakes and geographic regions, as best seen in the drone images. But the most important thing here are the miniature castles and palaces, of which you will find as many as 48! All made with extreme attention to detail, reproducing the appearance of historical buildings in their full glory (don’t be surprised that the castle, which is now a ruin here will look “a little” different :) )
Walking through the alleys, you will find, among other things. Książ castle, Ogrodzieniec, Malbork, Jasna Góra or Piast residences, and each model is marked with a plaque with brief historical information.
You can visit the place with a stroller, with small children, however, as we can read on the placards, the facilities are not “childproof” ;)
A wonderful complement to this mini-hike is the possibility of reaching the Miniature Park in several ways: you can walk, use the chairlift or… take the schoolbus that takes tourists from the Zwierzyniec area.
Amusement park – merry-go-rounds, rides, cars and adrenaline for young and old
And now it’s time for a completely different part. There were dinosaurs, ancient legends and legends, animals, Polish monuments, then now we will show you Baltow’s funfair, or Amusement Park. To begin with, it is worth noting that the rides and all attractions are included in the price of the all-inclusive ticket and everything can be used freely, and the only limitation may be age and height. The area is open and anyone can enter, but only people with a ticket can ride (yes, you can buy tickets only for children if you don’t plan to ride).
The Play Park has something for everyone, from gentle merry-go-rounds for toddlers, to inflatables and playgrounds, to equipment for larger children and even adults. What we particularly liked is that next to a small carousel for toddlers there is a larger one for older ones, next to small cars there are some for bigger children.
You’ll find classic carousels: both Viennese and chain carousels that spin faster and have a greater range of motion. For energetic toddlers, jungle-themed inflatables are available that literally soak up the movement and bustle. Kids can take a ride on a quiet train, duck boats, jump on trampolines, ride cars, sail boats and much more! In the hall, in the summer you can ride on the bumper cars (bumper cars ) – is a joy not only for children, but also for adults. There are up to three types of cars: Mini Bumper Cars – for children ages 3 and up, Twister – for children ages 5 and up, and Hurricane for children ages 8 and up or 1 adult with a child under 5.
Right next door is the 5D Cinema, which is not strictly part of the Amusement Park, but complements it. Cinematic screenings with 3D graphics, sound, movement, touch and sometimes even smell turn viewers into participants in the adventure – an appealing atmosphere at the end or… a quick reset between rides.
Who will benefit the most? According to us, it is optimal that the child is already 3 or 4 years old – then he can already enjoy many of the attractions on site independently or with a guardian.
Jungle Jump (NEW!) – indoor playroom for children
It’s time for a novelty in Bałtów, opened this summer, namely Jungle Jump. This is something that has been missing: a covered, large playroom where you can hide from the sun or rain. Designed as a multi-level space, Jungle Jump consists of obstacle courses, slides, rope bridges, ball-filled pools and secret nooks and crannies that stimulate the curiosity and energy of children from about three to twelve years old. There are age-segregated zones here, but in practice children still play wherever they want under the supervision of caregivers.
To use Jungle Jump, children must have non-slip socks – you can have your own or buy them on site.
A rollercoaster that is not a rollercoaster
In the Baltow Amusement Park you will find a rollercoaster, which in practice is more of a toboggan run ;) When we told the kids we were going on a rollercoaster they thought there would be loops and overloads right away…. But that’s not the kind of ride we had in mind.
Although you have to admit that for a toboggan run it’s long and fast (even 40km/h)! But we won’t give away all the details so that you can have a surprise.
Unfortunately, the track is not for everyone. Adults and children over 10 years of age and a minimum height of 140 centimeters can ride alone. Smaller children (5 years and older) can ride in the carriage with an adult.
This attraction is popular and there are queues here. From experience, we’ll hint that the loosest time is on Monday around noon (it’s probably just as quiet from Tuesday to Friday)
Chairlift – not just for skiers
Did we mention that in winter Bałtów turns into a ski resort? ;) And since ski slopes are also ski lifts and one of them can be used all year round. It turns out that such a ride can also be a big attraction for children.
The chairlift in Bałtów is a unique attraction available all year round, allowing convenient travel between the lower part of the complex, where the JuraPark, the Amusement Park or the Lower Animal House are located – and the upper part, where the Miniature Park and the Slavic Hill extend.
Visitors can use it at no extra charge if they have a comprehensive ticket, making it an attractive and practical means of transportation within the park. Children will even want to ride in circles ;)
There are no age restrictions on the queue, but children must be accompanied by adults.
Practical information
Below we collect what you usually ask before you leave.
How much time to plan in Bałtów?
In the past, we would have written that it’s worth planning one whole day, but now it’s too short! There are quite a few new attractions, so if you want to really take advantage of everything it’s worth coming here for two days. Of course, it is still possible to “cram” everything into one day, but is it worth it? ;)
The order of the tour – our proven scheme
At the Baltow Tourist Complex, there is no imposed order of what to see when. Having a comprehensive ticket you can use everything to your heart’s content ;) The only exception is the Upper Zwierzyniec, which is a bus ride for which you need a reservation.
However, in order to make this visit successful, it is good to plan the tour so that it is enjoyable for everyone.
For starters, we suggest attractions that require more movement and walking, such as. JuraPark, Sabatka or the Amusement Park, and leave for the afternoon or evening the more tranquil and static ones such as a bus ride through Zwierzyniec, a 5d cinema or Adventure Planed 5D. After the bus ride, you can immediately take a look at Poland in Miniatura and take a leisurely ride down by chairlift.
At the end, you will probably still want to go down the toboggan run ;)
Price list – how much does a ticket to Baltow cost?
The complex offers two ticket-package options: comprehensive and entertainment. Both packages give admission to attractions, but the entertainment package is definitely more modest, and comprehensive…. well the name itself suggests ;)
Below is a list of attractions that can be enjoyed in each package:
Entertainment Package:
- Amusement Park,
- Rollercoaster,
- Bumper Cars,
- Spring Island
- Jungle Jump
Comprehensive Package:
Everything in the entertainment package and:
- JuraPark
- Adventure Planet VR
- Jurassic Museum
- Upper Zwierzyniec
- Lower Zwierzyniec
- Slavic Hill and Sabbatical
- Poland in Miniature
- 5D Cinema
Of course, the difference is also evident in the price, with it being worth noting right away that we recommend buying tickets online to make it cheaper.
Entertainment
- One type of ticket: from 59 PLN (85 PLN at the box office)
Comprehensive Package:
- Normal: from 109 PLN (at the box office 155 PLN)
- Concessionary: from 99 PLN (143 PLN at the box office)
- For Toddler (up to 2 years old): PLN 5
- For seniors (60 years and older): PLN 102
With a Large Family Card, you can buy a Comprehensive Ticket more cheaply: from PLN 98.10 for a regular ticket and from PLN 89.10 for a discounted ticket.
Opening hours and seasonality
The opening hours of the complex and its various attractions depend primarily on the season. In winter, the complex changes its character – the slope, ice rink and winter illuminations are in operation; in summer – more water and open air.
You can find all current information on the facility’s website: KLIK.
During vacations the whole complex is open from 10:00 – 18:00 and for us, however, this is too short ;) When the day is long you could calmly spend time here even until 20:00.
Catering and rest areas
There are many food outlets with classic family menus: soups, main dishes, burgers/pizza, regional dishes, snacks, waffles, ice cream, drinks.
Our kids felt bad about eating more during the day so we jumped on waffles and snacks for a quick bite. We particularly recommend JuraPark Caffe, a café located within JuraPark. Why exactly this place? The friendly and helpful staff, good food and a separate children’s corner with toys is something that fully convinced us.
We ate breakfast at the Inn – you can have a classic breakfast here, there is something hot, there are sweets. It is buffet style and you pay by the weight of the dish.
As for the main meal of the day, we left it for the end of the day and just ate dinner. For more hunger, we especially recommend Baltowski Zapiecek – we ate here twice and each time it was delicious. However, something that completely wins when it comes to this place is the customization and additional attractions for children. Already at the entrance, children are given crayons and a children’s menu with a coloring book. There are quite a few items on the menu, so even more picky children will easily choose something. However, the biggest hit is the playroom! This would have been a separate playroom, and here it is available to all guest customers for free. There are tunnels, secret passages and rooms, an obstacle course, a ball pool – waiting here for a meal is a pleasure :)
We also recommend – Browar Bałtow, a restaurant that specializes in meat dishes (burgers, steaks), but vegetarians will also find something for themselves. The place is also suitable for children: feeding chairs, children’s menus, crayons and coloring books – this will make your time here enjoyable.
Toilets, changing facilities, accessibility
The toilets are sensibly located in key areas of the park, clean during the day (during rush hour queues happen – a classic). There are also childcare places where you can quietly change your toddler.
With a stroller you can easily walk most of the routes, and if you don’t have a stroller, and you are afraid that the little ones can’t manage so much walking or you have a lot of stuff to carry, wooden strollers can be rented at JuraPark for a fee.
People with disabilities: it’s a good idea to check the current accessibility map before you go, and possibly call ahead if you need specific accommodations.
Parking and access
Bałtów is located in the Swietokrzyskie province, about 15 km from Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski.
There is plenty of free parking on site to which staff will direct you, but bear in mind that the earlier you arrive, the closer you will park. When the spaces run out you will be directed to more distant parking lots.
We were not interested in parking this time, because we stayed overnight on site and had parking right under the cottage, so we walked everywhere (we write about the overnight stay later in this post).

Where to sleep?
The complex offers extensive accommodation. Depending on your needs and abilities, you can choose from studios, suites, rooms for both 2 and 8 people, there is even a camping and camping site. You can read more about each facility here: KLIK.
We, this time, spent the night at the Stopover Inn, which consists of five cottages. We had a 4-bedroom, split-level studio with an extra crib for a child. Downstairs is a bathroom with a living room, and upstairs is a bedroom with a double bed and a bedroom with two single beds.
What’s coolest, however, is that Balts offers packages of accommodation + entry to the complex. Buying such a stay you have everything in the price, which comes out very favorable financially.
