Hiroshima
Hiroshima is one of the most symbolic and moving places in Japan that every traveler should visit. The city, known worldwide for the tragic events of World War II, is today a modern metropolis and an important center for peace education.
Hiroshima’s main attractions are the Peace Park with the Atomic Bomb Dome and the Peace Memorial Museum, which provide deeper insights into the history and significance of the city. Hiroshima is also an ideal starting point for a trip to Miyajima Island, where one of Japan’s most famous attractions can be found: the torii gate “floating” on the water at the Itsukushima Shrine.
The combination of history, culture and picturesque landscapes makes Hiroshima and the surrounding Miyajima a must-see on any trip to Japan.
