Christmas is a time of joy, love and spending time together with loved ones. It’s also a great opportunity to express your love and care through unique gifts. For people who love to travel, choosing a gift doesn’t have to be more challenging at all. Travelers value practical items that will make it easier for them to explore new places, as well as those that will help them play out new destinations or bring back memories of trips they’ve already taken.

Gifts for the traveler
That’s why we’ve compiled a list of more and less obvious gifts for people who like to travel. A little based on my own experience (and my own products) and a little based on my own wish list ;)
This is perhaps the biggest obvious. Every traveler must have such a map on his wall ;) Nevertheless, we want to mention it, because you may not have heard of it yet.
The idea will be 100% hit, but make sure the lucky person doesn’t already have such a map at home before buying.
Practical books for traveling parents
Here will be #autopromotion because we will recommend to you our practically family travel books, which freshly flew in before Christmas in a new refreshed edition.
We are, of course, talking about the books in the “Family Travel” series and, more specifically, the part about packing and air travel. We immediately recommend buying both items, because they complement each other perfectly :) The gift is ideal for fresh parents who still want to travel, but also for parents of older children :)
In addition, when buying a set with ebooks, you can keep the electronic version for yourself and give the physical books as a gift to another traveler.

Large wall map
This is a slightly different proposition than the abrasive map above. In this case, we are talking about a cool decoration that can be easily glued to the wall and further arranged.
Personally, we have two such maps. A colorful one at Olivia’s and a black one in the hallway :)
On Ceneo you will find a lot of interesting proposals, colorful for children and more subdued for adults.
A water bottle and preferably with a filter. Incredibly practical gift, without which we can not imagine even the shortest trip. Why?
Water is healthy :) In addition, we do not have to buy small bottles of water (ecology!), the filter further treats the water (although we drink tap water quietly, of course from proven sources). You can also safely replenish your water supply at the airport, after you have already passed through control (so as not to drink “airplane” water).

We are not backpackers, although we often travel with a backpack. We also know the importance of a good, packable and lightweight suitcase. The market is full of them, but somehow it just so happened that those from the Samsonite family have worked well for us over the years.
That’s why we think it’s a good and apt gift, as long as your friends don’t travel exclusively, always and everywhere and only with a backpack ;)
It is important that the finish is solid. Also very practical are the 4 swivel casters.
A secure belt can come in handy to stash copies of documents (passport, ID) and/or some cash for a rainy day. May it never come in handy for anyone, although the prudent is always insured.
It practically takes up no space, you always have it with you, and in difficult situations its contents can prove to be a lifesaver.
Survival card, Multitool, Bushman card, Resuce card…. Thousands of names and thousands of uses. Personally, we have never used such a card, but we know that some travelers do not go on any trip without it.
That’s why it made it to our list. Quite a cheap gift, and also practical, even more so for those traveling who like to DIY :)
More precisely, such a cosmetic bag that you can easily hang and use it during the morning/evening toilet :) You do not have to fiddle with laying out cosmetics, look for a place to put them away – the hook will hang everywhere.
Do your friends travel with a baby and complain how hard it is to pack the stroller in the car every now and then, or are unable to drive the stroller on the beach? A sling or carrier will work perfectly in these and other situations. We found this out for ourselves.
A gift a bit in the category of those more expensive, but definitely worth the price :-)
A power bank (energy bank) will come in handy when least expected, saving its owner from quite a bit of trouble. Well, after all, how can we continue to use navigation, take pictures, or call loved ones when suddenly our smartphone discharges in the middle of the day in the middle of the desert? :)
If you’re not sure if the hotel will have towels, or if you need a small (but large) towel for the beach or for your backpack for camping, it’s worth thinking about a lightweight and quick-drying towel.
It takes up much less space than traditional towels, and many times it is better to wipe yourself with it when coming out of the shower. It’s also perfect for a quick beach getaway :)
There are plenty of “345 in 1” combo adapter offers on the market. Personally, we do not reflect such, because they are usually heavy and take up a lot of space in the luggage.
Well, unless one is going on a trip around the world. But we usually know what country we are going to and will only need one type of adapter. And single ones don’t take up as much space and are usually much lighter.
In fact, in our closet we have only two types of adapters (usa and British). A very interesting gift idea is to buy a few of these adapters each (often more than one is useful) and make a cool package out of them ;)
