Mandoria City of Adventures is one of the more anticipated developments in Lodz province. The large, covered complex full of attractions for families with children has aroused tremendous interest on the one hand, and doubts on the other. Well, because can an indoor rollercoaster be as interesting as an outdoor one? And how much does it cost to enter Mandoria? Below we dispel some of your doubts and show you what Mandoria looks like from the inside.
We are big fans of amusement parks. The more rollercoasters, carousels, adrenaline rush the better. Yes, they are crowded and noisy places, but with good discernment and planning it is possible to get there in such a way that you don’t spend most of your time queuing for attractions. We have already seen many amusement parks, in different countries, and thus our expectations are quite high. And here we must admit that currently in Poland only Energylandia is an amusement park of a really high level.
So we were happy when the first news reached us that a new amusement park with rollercoasters was being built near Lodz, in Rzgow. From the beginning, we have been closely watching the investment and absorbing every piece of news regarding the titular Mandoria. Unfortunately, Covid-19 came along and thwarted the construction plans, and we eagerly awaited some specifics about the new opening date (there were even moments of doubt as to whether the facility would open at all in these uncertain times).
Finally, in June, the official opening of Mandoria’s gates was announced: 8. July 2021. The first photos, videos and details of the various attractions have begun to appear on the Internet. In response, more and more questions and concerns began to arise: who is this theme park for, how much does it cost, how many attractions are on site? We too were plagued by these questions, so we were able to peek through the barely ajar gates of Mandoria and see for ourselves what this City of Adventures really is.
Let’s start with the fact that Mandoria is a Renaissance trading town – that’s the style of the entire interior. It is full of boats filled with goods from all over the world, the area is surrounded by the fronts of townhouses, and you can sit on a stylish bench. And all this is just a backdrop for the main attractions.

Certainly the most interesting are the rollercoasters. There are two in Mandoria: one the longest covered rollercoaster in Poland, the Mercantile, and a dark ride, the Dark Mansion. Just beware, these are not typical rollercoasters with several loops or turns. The ones here are quieter, slower, but this allows little explorers to ride them.
In addition to rollercoasters, there are plenty of merry-go-rounds in Mandoria: a beautiful two-tiered Venetian carousel, a traditional carousel with chairs suspended from chains, a carousel with pedals that, when set in motion, make the carriage rise, and a wine barrel carousel.
Staying in the style of a commercial port, many attractions use the theme of boats and ships: there are small water bikes for children, a carousel with boats, remote-controlled boats and a large, rocking Galleon.
Other attractions include a large six-track slide, a giant figlora with a ball pool and slides, shoe-shaped “selfie cars” and a mirror maze.
Remember, too, that this is not the end and Mandoria will be expanding all the time, including outdoor attractions.
Who is Mandoria for?
For whom will Mandoria be a hit? Definitely for families with children and more smaller than older ones. As you might have read above, the attractions mentioned are not chilling rides. Rather, there are quieter merry-go-rounds, customized rollercoasters or a playground for the little ones to enjoy. Our 5-year-old had incredible fun, running from one attraction to another, wanting to ride the same carousels many times and not wanting to leave :) In our opinion, children just from 5 years old will benefit the most from a visit to Mandoria (the upper limit is hard for us to judge, but rest assured 12-year-olds will also go crazy :) ).
Perhaps you’d be interested in descriptions of other theme parks we’ve been to?
We recommend in particular:
– Majaland Kownaty
– Energylandia
– Illusion Farm
– Magic Gardens
– Julinek Amusement Park
– JuraPark Krasiejów
– Clement’s Orchards
Importantly, most of the attractions are accessible to children even under 100 centimeters tall (entry/ride only with a guardian), so even toddlers will be able to enjoy many of the rides.
Detailed descriptions of the attractions and the required minimum height of the child are available on the Mandoria website.
Catering facilities and adaptations for children
As for dining facilities, there is an Italian pizzeria, a family restaurant and a restaurant serving home-cooked food (buffet). In addition, there are several cafes, ice cream shops and bars. Importantly, you MAY bring your own snacks into Mandoria.
The facility is generally wheelchair-accessible, although there are places that a wheelchair will not get to (such as the viewpoint at the top).
There is a baby care room in Mandoria, where a changing table and feeding chair await.
Mandoria Price List
Now the least fun part ;)
In general, you have to admit that the price list is very, very simple, because there are only two types of tickets – full-price and free.
Admission is free only for toddlers under 85 cm in height. All others pay £99 per ticket.
The only exemption is a discount with the Large Family Card of PLN 10 per ticket. You can also redeem a travel voucher.
What is included in the ticket price? In fact, all the attractions, rides, rollercoasters. This is an all-day ticket with no time limit.
Opening hours
Mandoria opens its gates from 10:00 to 20:00 (every day!).

Our opinion about Mandoria
Mandoria is a complete novelty in the Lodz province and, in our opinion, such a place was missing. Places where you can go with your children at any time of the year and day, regardless of the weather. Mandoria is definitely more than a playroom – you’ll find rollercoasters and merry-go-rounds that are geared to the little ones.
One should be aware that this is a place for families with children, so it is in vain to look here for a considerable dose of adrenaline or fancy rollercoasters. If we had come here back in the pre-baby days we would have been disappointed with the attractions, so fair warning beforehand :)
And finally, the most controversial issue – ticket prices. Looking at how much fun and enjoyment our 5-year-old had, it was worth the £99. However, taking into account that a caregiver enters with the child, or even let’s assume a whole family of 4, you have to reckon with an expense of almost 400 zlotys (and on top of that probably another 100 zlotys or more for food on the spot). Unfortunately, these are already very large amounts. Certainly for many families this is some kind of barrier not to jump over or accept, but that’s the way it is with amusement parks…. ;-)
We are keeping our fingers firmly crossed for Mandoria and its further development! We will definitely be frequent visitors there.
We also recommend our comparison: Mandoria or Majaland Kownaty? Which amusement park should you choose?
